Mosaic Twig Center Table
This round French table has a finely detailed mosaic twig top in a pinwheel and sunray pattern, and a pedestal branch base with applied pinecone accents. The previous owner had some restoration done to the top and base. The table is very sturdy without any of the wobble sometimes associated with pedestal designs.

penobscot club


Penobscot Club

An artistic Maine Penobscot Indian birch root burl club with a carved face and chip-carved handle. These were made as ceremonial objects, and each artist had a distinctive style of carving. We have had and seen this stoic face on other clubs over the years, although the name of its Native American artist is unknown. A custom metal display base is included.

fungus art


Painted Bracket Fungus

This skillfully rendered nature scene uses a natural fungus as a canvas and features a white-tailed deer leaping over a stone wall. It has three-dimensional depth accomplished by extending the painting on to the front lege of the fungus, where a dog figurine is applied. It is mounted on a wooden base with a layer of plaster below the fungus.
