The two principals of Cherry Gallery are husband and wife team Jeff Cherry and Kass Hogan.

Bios
Jeff has been a full-time antiques dealer since 1992. He has a B. A. in biology from Bowdoin College and an M. S. in animal behavior and ecology from the State University of New York at Albany. His prior work experience includes leading wilderness canoe trips as a guide in Ontario and Maine, and reproducing period architectural detail as a woodworker in upstate New York. He has also been a longtime collector of Native American material, particularly Northeastern Indian canoe paddles and decorated birch bark objects.

Jeff's affinity for northern lakes and forests, his insights as a skilled cabinet maker, and his experience as a collector of antiques provide a background for his specialties within the antiques business. These specialties include rustic furniture and accessories, Native American art, and folk art. Jeff's growing reputation as a leader in the field of antique rustic furniture reflects his high standards and eye for material, business integrity, and commitment to ongoing learning about antiques that convey a connection between people and their natural surroundings.

Kass joined Jeff in the antiques business in 2001. She has a background and doctorate in cognitive psychology, and attended college and graduate school in Maine, New Hampshire, and New York. Prior to joining Cherry Gallery, she was on the scientific staff of an ecological research institute for 16 years where she published numerous journal articles and several books in her field.

Kass grew up on a lake in northern Maine, and spent summers throughout college and beyond working as an environmental educator in the north woods of Canada and New England. In addition to having an appreciation for the rustic aesthetic and an attraction to colorful folk art, Kass has a growing interest in 19th and 20th century regional landscape paintings.

Jeff and Kass opened their gallery in 2002.
